A wave of Hezbollah supporters attended the funeral of Mughniyeh Jihad on Monday south of Beirut in Lebanon. Mughniyeh Jihad is one of six fighters of the radical movement killed on Sunday in an Israeli air raid on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights. He was also the son of a senior military Hezbollah murdered in 2008 in Damascus.
The coffin of the young Mughniyeh, wrapped yellow Hezbollah flag, was carried by a crowd marching, shouting "Death to the United States and Israel", "No to humiliation" or "Israel, enemy of Muslims" .
The Israeli attack also killed an Iranian general of the Revolutionary Guard, the elite army of the Iranian regime. His death was confirmed by Tehran.
The strike was conducted by helicopter Qouneïtra against elements accused of preparing attacks on the Jewish state said an Israeli security source.
On the Golan Heights, patrolled by UN peacekeepers, they are a total of six Iranian military have been killed in the raid, according to a source close to Hezbollah quoted by AFP.
