Rail traffic under the Channel was completely interrupted Saturday afternoon. This decision was taken following a fire on a truck, which triggered the smoke detectors.
There is apparently no injuries. In any case, it was necessary to evacuate the tunnel tubes. All trains circulating had to turn around and return to their home station.
After the announcement of this incident, the company recommended to users on its website, not to stand in the station and postpone their trip.
