Anger and anti-French folly in Niger seven churches burned


Anti-Charlie Hebdo demonstrations turned violent in Niamey, the capital, and at least seven churches were burned.


A thousand very young and rampaging protesters gathered this morning at the Grand Mosque in the city despite the ban decided by the Niger authorities.


Several agencies PMU and advertising kiosks Orange phone company were ransacked in the city.


The Embassy of France urged its nationals on site "to avoid any exit."


Other riots in Zinder, Niger's second city, killed four people and injured 45.
