Central Africa: Dominic Ongwen transferred to the International Criminal Court


Dominic Ongwen left Tuesday for the International Criminal Court, the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands. It is one of the main leaders of the bloody Ugandan rebels of the LRA, the Lord's Resistance Army has terrorized for thirty years in several countries of Central Africa.


Dominic Ongwen was wanted for almost ten years for crimes against humanity and war crimes. He went early January while in Central Africa.


The ICC said it should arrive Wednesday morning in The Hague and was accompanied by a delegation of the Court.


According to the UN, Ongwen militia killed more than 100,000 people in central Africa and abducted more than 60,000 children.
