Ukraine: accident at a nuclear plant

An accident occurred last week at a nuclear plant in Ukraine. This was stated Kiev on Wednesday, but said that there was no risk of release of radioactive materials.

The central question is that of Zaporizhia in the southeast of the country marked by the Chernobyl disaster.

"This is a short circuit, explained the Minister of Energy Volodymyr Demtchichine. "There will be testing today and tomorrow. And starting Friday, the situation will return to normal. There are no problems with the reactor. The incident is in no way linked to the reactor. (...) All efforts are concentrated to fix the site. "

Nuclear plants account for 44% of energy production in Ukraine.
