Los Angeles: a major fire destroyed buildings under construction


Some 350 firefighters battled tonight against a huge fire in Los Angeles.


The flames destroyed a significant buildings under construction complex. No casualties were reported.


Faced with the violence of fire, the Californian authorities have taken the decision to close to traffic the highway that passes nearby. Thus, a residential building of seven floors unfinished was badly damaged, as two senior adjacent buildings.

Not far away, a second fire also caused extensive damage to residential and commercial building.


The fire would be triggered just before 1:30 am local time and was currently under control.

Investigators have not yet determined what caused it.
