No issues to pay royalties to publishers of Spanish Press. The US internet giant Google is going to remove the Google News Spanish publishers and close the service in Spain on December 16.
The measure is radical and comes just weeks before the implementation on 1 January of the new law on intellectual property.
This statute provides that newspaper publishers are paid for by the services in internet lines when a link and a significant extract are included. It is a kind of compulsory license fee.
Google is facing newspaper publishers in several European countries.
