Candlelight vigil in Brooklyn in tribute to the two policemen killed

A candlelight vigil was held last night in Brooklyn in tribute to the two policemen killed on Saturday. Many of their colleagues were present.

Their murderer, a young black man of 28, was known to the police. He was arrested 19 times. A few hours before attacking two police he shot his ex-girlfriend, near Baltimore.

On social networks, he had posted comments hinting at his intentions, citing the death of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, two blacks killed by the police.

The victim's family trying to appease hatred: "I hope and pray that we can think about these tragic losses, so that we can move forward and find an amicable way to a peaceful coexistence, "said the aunt of Rafael Ramos, one of the victims.
