Turkey again cut access to Twitter

Access to Twitter and Youtube is again blocked in Turkey. This decision comes just days after the death of a prosecutor, who had been taken hostage by militants of a group of extreme left in Istanbul. A photo of the magistrate with a gun to his head had been widely circulated on the Web, which the Turkish authorities smacks of terrorist propaganda and incitement to hatred. Dozens of websites are affected by this momentary blocking, which will end as soon as the photos of the magistrate will be removed, says the Turkish justice.

The prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz had been held hostage for six hours in a courthouse, before being shot. The autopsy concluded that he was killed by his captors.
