Paris, late Wednesday morning in a side street of the eleventh arrondissement. Two masked men, heavily armed, leaving the building
Charlie Hebdo. A police officer intervenes. He was wounded. One of the two individuals literally ends when he is down.
They come with the same composure, murdering 11 people, five of Charlie Hebdo cartoonists, including the director of the newspaper, Charb and two figures of newspaper cartoons, Cabu and Wolinski; an economist and psychoanalyst, employees of the newspaper; a guest of the editorial conference; a corrector, a policeman and a maintenance worker.
The two individuals fled. The manhunt begins. Their car was found in the early afternoon abandoned in a street in the 19th district. Inside, police found an ID ... allowing their identification.
They are brothers: Kouachi Cherif, 32, and Said Kouachi 34 years. Both are French, born in Paris to Algerian parents. The youngest is well known to the police and justice for its links with jihadist networks.
