The '' hero '' Lassana Bathily naturalized French

Lassana Bathily, the hero of the hostage-taking at the Porte de Vincennes in Paris, was naturalized French in recognition of his bravery. The Interior Minister, Bernard Cazeneuve, praised his courage, composure and selflessness, at a ceremony, attended by relatives of the young Malian, but also former hostages of the kosher grocery store and representatives of the Jewish community.

Lassana Bathily worked in the Hyper Kosher when Amédy Coulibaly broke into the store and killed four people. The young employee had hidden so many clients in the cold room of the store, then escaped by a lift. He then helped the police in preparing the assault. More than 300,000 people signed a petition calling for his naturalization.
