John Kerry in Paris: the most French of Americans

On a visit to Paris, and received at the City Hall, the US Secretary of State has come to tell the French solidarity.

John Kerry, as he did last week, Washington after the attacks in Paris, spoke in French:

"Together, we will persevere and together we will win.

(...) What the extremists, the thugs and terrorists do not understand that they can not understand is that bravery and decency never yield to intimidation and terror, ever. "

Accompanied by his "friend", the French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius, John Kerry visited earlier in the day in succession outside the offices of Charlie Hebdo and the supermarket hide the door of Vincennes.

The Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, said for his part to think about "creating a place of memory" in tribute to the seventeen victims of the attacks of 7 and 9 January.
