Greece voting day, seeing political upheaval


Nearly 10 million Greeks go to the polls on Sunday for parliamentary elections. This election is intended again to get the country out of the political impasse in which it is located.


Many Greeks seem determined to bring to power the radical left Syriza movement and thus penalize traditional parties. The current Prime Minister, the Conservative Antonis Samaras should pay the price.


For many Greeks, Samaras embodies the austerity policies imposed by creditors (IMF, European Central Bank ...). And that is precisely what it means to reject Syriza, led by Alexis Tsipras. This party is due to win the election. The question is whether it will have an absolute majority needed to have a free hand.


The ballot is followed closely in Europe. The radical left parties in Spain and France are hoping for a .

As for the leaders of the European Union, they say they will adapt whatever the winner of these elections.
