Dilma Rousseff officially began his second term of four years at the helm of Brazil. The investiture ceremony was held Thursday in Brasilia.
The head of state was re-elected in the second round of presidential elections in October.
Several foreign leaders attended the swearing, as many activists of Workers' Party, the original training Dilma Rousseff.
"I swear to defend and respect the Constitution, ensure compliance, to work for the welfare of the Brazilian population, protect the unity, integrity and independence of Brazil," t- she said solemnly.
In his inauguration speech that followed the swearing in, she promised to work to boost growth, currently running the slowing economy. It is also committed to fiscal consolidation.
In the shorter term, it will also do the cleaning in the oil company Petrobras, in the heart of a vast corruption scandal.
