Australia: Adelaide area destroyed by fire

Australia is still plagued by major forest fires, particularly in the Adelaide region, south of the country, where the flames have destroyed more than 12,000 hectares of vegetation and destroyed about thirty houses. And the weather does not bode well, since high temperatures and wind are announced in the next 48 hours. They may stir up a little more this blaze, one of the worst the country has experienced over the last thirty years.

Australia is accustomed to forest fires, but this year they arrive earlier than usual because of the scorching temperatures that exceed 35 degrees in Adelaide.

According to the Australian authorities, 2014 was the third warmest year on record for a century.
