In Paris, police was overturned shortly before midnight by a vehicle near the Elysée Palace. This, however, would be a mere accident. No link was established with the recent terrorist attacks. The driver and passenger, aged 19, were remanded in custody.
The accident occurred a few meters from the main entrance of the presidential palace.
For some reason, the driver has borrowed in the opposite street of the Elysee, before being stopped by the police. He would have reversed by restarting.
The two individuals arrested are not known to intelligence services and does not have the profile of young radicalized, according to a source close to the investigation.
