Al-Qaeda in Yemen: the video that claims responsibility Charlie Hebdo

"Heroes have been recruited and have taken action to the satisfaction of the Muslims"



Al-Qaeda in Yemen claimed the attack against Charlie Hebdo. In a 11-minute video, Nasser bin Ali al-Anassi, a senior al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, said he acted on the orders of its leader Ayman al-Zawahiri for "revenge" caricatured Muhammad by the French satirical newspaper.

Referring to Kouachi brothers, al-Anassi states that "Heroes were recruited and moved to action to the satisfaction of the Muslims."


The Kouachi brothers after the attack against the satirical newspaper had immediately claimed Al-Qaeda in Yemen. Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, born from the merger of Saudi and Yemeni branches of al Qaeda, is considered by Washington as the most dangerous extremist network arm.
