Ultimate tribute to the global senior filmmakers, Manoel de Oliveira, who died Thursday at the age of 106 after a long career that has taken him from silent film in the digital age.
The legendary filmmaker was buried in the family vault in the cemetery of Agramonte in Porto, his birthplace in northern Portugal, in the presence of several personalities of culture, one of his favorite actors, John Malkovich.
Were also present for this final tribute, President Anibal Cavaco Silva and Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho.
The great master of the Portuguese cinema to record longevity has made nearly fifty films and documentaries.
Among the best-known films include "The Divine Comedy", "The Tape", "Party", "I'm Going Home", or "Belle toujours".
