Four assailants, members of Shebab Islamists affiliated with al Qaeda stormed at dawn yesterday the campus of the University of Garissa which hosted hundreds of students from different regions.
Numbers of students were surprised tragically in their sleep.
"They fired shots, some were slightly injured, some more seriously legs and still others to the head. They fired indiscriminately targeting people at random, "says this member of relief there.
The attack ended last night after exchange of fire with security forces and the four attackers detonated their explosive belts.
According to survivors, the Shebab separated the Muslim students and non-Muslims, leaving from the former. Then they had fun psychologically torture their victims before executing them coldly.
147 victims were announced by the authorities, but many Kenyans came to the morgue to try to desperately get news of them.
