Infanticide Cairns: the mother accused of murdering 8 children


The mother of Australian family arrested on Friday was charged with the murder of eight children aged 18 months to 15 years.


Their bodies were discovered in a suburb of Cairns, tourist town in the north is tropical Australia.


Of the 8 children, 7 were those of the suspect aged 37. The eighth victim, a 14 year old girl was his niece.


The causes of their deaths are not yet determined, the track suffocation is studied.

Police declined to reveal the identity of the victim for cultural reasons.


The family belongs to the indigenous community Torres Strait, indigenous population native to the islands on the coast of the state of Queensland.

This eightfold murder comes shortly after the bloody hostage Sydney that left three dead, including two hostages.
