First Israeli raid on Gaza since the August truce


An Israeli raid targeted Friday Hamas installations in the south of the Gaza Strip, specifically in the Khan Younis area.

Also Friday, two Palestinians were slightly injured during clashes with Israeli soldiers.

On Thursday, a draft resolution was tabled in the UN Security Council. It aims to find a peace agreement with Israel within a year and get the Israeli withdrawal from the Occupied Territories before the end of 2017.


"This is a good step to end the occupation under very complicated security situation and the barbaric acts of the (Israeli) occupation against the Palestinians and, God willing we will find a solution to end the Palestinian affair, "said Assem Araura, a resident of Ramallah.


For now, Israel is categorically opposed to the draft resolution, believing that any agreement must go through bilateral negotiations.
