Death of rock icon Joe Cocker

British singer Joe Cocker has died at the age of 70 following a long illness.

Joe Cocker was born in Shefield, in northern England and had become known, starting with singing in the pubs of the city. His gravelly voice had made one of the greatest rock singer of British blues. We remember in particular its resumed piece of Randy Newman "You can leave your hat on", or the remarkable interpretation of the Beatles song "With a little help from my friends" he had achieved at the Woodstock festival in 1969.
