Two New Yorkers prosecuted for terror plot


Two inhabitants of New York, tried for the alleged preparation of a terrorist attack.


Noelle Velentzas, 28, and Asia Siddiqui, 31, fervent admirers of the group Islamic State crimes, Osama bin Laden would have planned to attack police and military targets in the United States.

Counsel for Asia Siddiqui, the latter will plead not guilty. The two women may perpetuity.


The accused, former maids, researched from last summer to make an explosive device.


Investigators found home gas cylinders, welding equipment, pipes, pressure cooker and fertilizer. A pressure cooker, as that was used for the attack in Boston.
