On a visit to Kiev, the Polish President shows its support for Ukraine

"The Western world must understand that it will be safe only if Ukraine is safe."

Poland is secured to the Ukraine in its fight against the pro-Russian rebellion. This is the message launched this Thursday in Kiev by Bronislaw Komorowski. In his speech to the Rada, the Polish president said that Ukrainian soldiers were fighting not only for their country but also for the safety of all Europe. He denounced, frankly, the aggression of Russia.

"We can not fail to see in Ukraine soldiers, tanks and anti-aircraft defense of the aggressor systems (...) Only the blind do not see (...) The Western world must understand that it will be safe only if Ukraine is safe. "

The Polish president also promised to help Ukraine to take the path of European integration. Warsaw financially support the reforms undertaken by Kiev, explains our correspondent Maria Korenyuk: "Poland will give Kiev a loan of 100 million euros. The Ukrainian authorities have promised to spend the money for energy reforms and improving border facilities. ''

On the ground in eastern Ukraine, the situation remains worrying. Sporadic fighting continues despite the Minsk peace agreement. The leaders of the German diplomacy, Russian, French and Ukrainian will meet in Berlin on Monday to take stock of the situation. The question of sending a contingent of peacekeeping should be mentioned.
