"If the inspection arrangements do not meet the requirements of our nuclear specialists and security, there will be no agreement."
US President welcomed the interim agreement signed on Thursday between Iran and the major powers. Speaking from the White House, Barack Obama spoke of a "historic agreement" with Tehran.
But he believes that all is not yet settled. "Our work is not finished, he said. The final agreement was not signed. By late June, the negotiators will continue to work to see how to implement this agreement.
If the commitments are not met by the Iranians if inspection arrangements do not meet the requirements of our nuclear specialists and safety, then there will be no agreement.
But if we reach our goals, and if Iran is consistent with what was negotiated, we will be able to solve one of the greatest threats to our security, and do it peacefully.
Obama also recalled that in case of non-compliance of Iranian commitments, the sanctions would be immediately restored.
