A group of anonymous artists had installed overnight bust the whistleblower in exile, in a Brooklyn park.
Some tourists, and even a handful of New Yorkers have had time to take pictures in front of the controversial subject until park staff outweigh the plaster bust of about 40 pounds, in the morning.
The bust was installed on a column of "Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument", a memorial in honor of 11,500 prisoners of war died in captivity US on British ships during the War of Independence (1775-1783).
The head of this group "mischief" explained that the place had been chosen deliberately to position Edward Snowden "in the continuation of a story that began at the beginning of this country" (...) "built on ideals to live free, not to be locked or monitored by your government. "
