A man opened fire at the Milan Court: three dead


A man opened fire Thursday morning at the Court of Milan, killing three people, including the judge in charge of bankruptcy, Fernando Ciampi. There would also be two injured, one serious.


First information confirmed by the prosecutor of the Court of Appeal, Giovanni Canzio and by emergency medical services.


According to Italian news agency Ansa, the man, who had fled, has been arrested.


This man was sued for bankruptcy. He answers to the name of Claudio Giardiello. He allegedly shot during his hearing, while his lawyer had to recuse himself.


In court, access is blocked with a strong police presence and several ambulances.


The mayor of Milan, Giuliano Pisapia, visits the site.
