Turkey's parliament voted against sending four former ministers to court

The Turkish Parliament voted Tuesday to send four former ministers before the surpême Court. They were to be tried for corruption. This may be the last chapter of a politico-legal saga.

Under the plan, the charges against them are the result of a conspiracy by the movement of Imam Fethullah Gülen, a former ally of the regime.

In the street, there are many views on this decision:

"This means that no negative opinion about these ministers were évoqué.Nous should respect the decision of the parliament," said a man.

"This shows the example for society. The flight is now legalized "quips another.

The day before, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan chaired his first cabinet meeting in his new palace, a rare initiative marking his determination to keep hold of his country, despite the criticism of the opposition against the authoritarian drift.
