According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH) Kurdish fighters from Syria have resumed yesterday including a security complex that had fallen into the hands of jihadists. Supported by the strikes of the international coalition, the Peshmerga regaining ground in their offensive against the Islamic State Group (EI), while the fighting is still raging in Aleppo between Syrian rebels and the regime of Bashar al-Assad. The Chamia Front, an alliance of several rebel groups since December, took over key parts of the martyred city.
And while Syria is torn by conflict with many faces, the National Coalition of the Syrian opposition in exile in Istanbul, yesterday elected a new president. Khaled Koja is supported by moderate Islamists and secular. He again refused any dialogue with the regime in Damascus.
