Haiti: Install the new prime minister, a government within 48 hours

Haitian President Michel Martelly with at his side his new Prime Minister, Paul Evans. It was Friday in Port-au-Prince, the inauguration ceremony of the head of government.

Paul Evans, opposition figure, was appointed in late December, replacing Laurent Lamothe. His priority will be to form a unity government. President Martelly hopes the team will be formed at the end of the weekend.

In his speech, the Head of State said he had "agreed to begin a real dialogue with the constructive and representative opposition." Michel Martelly said to want so "associate (the opposition) to the management of the government until the end of (her) mandate."

The question is whether this future open government succeeds in calming the dissatisfaction of those protesters. For several weeks, they demand the departure of President Martelly.

Currently the country has no parliament, the parliamentary mandate has expired, and no elections have been held since 2011.

The new Prime Minister promised to tackle the holding of democratic and inclusive elections this year.
