Coup attempt in Yemen: the president's residence surrounded


It looks like a coup in Yemen. We do not know the fate of President Hadi, but fierce fighting in the capital Sanaa. A powerful Shiite militia seized the presidential palace and encircled west the residence of the head of state. A Houthi official says they have no intention of attacking the president and his residence.

Houthi, the names of the fighters Ansaruallah militia, which controls since September much of the capital. A UN Security Council held an emergency meeting.

The instability in Yemen also benefits the Yemeni branch of Al Qaeda. Considered the most dangerous of the movement, it is she who has claimed the attack against Charlie Hebdo.
