USA: marches to protest police violence against blacks

In the US, recent police brutality against blacks woke militant spirit, as in the heyday of the struggle for civil rights. Witness the many gatherings this weekend in several major cities.

These aimed to denounce police violence and seek justice for the victims.

In Washington, the march was organized by the Rev. Al Sharpton, figure in the struggle for racial equality and leader of the organization . "This is not a movement of blacks against whites, he has said, is an American march for the rights of American citizens."

Most demonstrations were held peacefully. But the slogans reflected a ras-le-bol deal with racial inequality, control facies in the sense of impunity white policemen.

Locally, the police had to make some arrests.

Associations for the defense of freedom and the fight against discrimination promised more rallies in the coming days.
