Since Wednesday, Hamas is no longer on the list of terrorist organizations in the European Union. This is not the result of a political decision, but the result of a court decision.
The Court of the European Union had been seized by the Palestinian movement. Hamas estimated that the method followed by Brussels in 2001 to place it on its blacklist was not lawful. That's right, felt the judges.
The Palestinian group is therefore actually removed from the blacklist. That said, the funds Hamas has in Europe are still frozen. European leaders have the opportunity to appeal.
For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately called on Europeans to precisely reverse this decision, noting that Hamas advocated the destruction of Israel.
Moreover, the Palestinians must submit in the day a draft resolution to the Security Council of the UN, a text that calls for an end to the Israeli occupation in a period of two years.
