Taking of hostages still being right in Sydney's CBD


The hostage taker of Lindt Cafe in Sydney had concealed four bombs in total. It is reported that the television station Channel Ten reporting contact "directly" with two hostages. Two bombs would be in the coffee itself, and the other two elsewhere in the neighborhood, the business of Sydney, located in the city center.


At 10 am CET, it had more than ten hours that the hostage had begun.


The man would have no accomplice.


Five people have current outputs from the property. According to the police chief who spoke of "a terrorist event," a gunman retain less than thirty people hostage. Negotiators have contacted him. He would have demanded to speak with the prime minister and asked that a flag of the organization Islamic State be brought to him. Previously, a black flag with an Arabic inscription was plated hostages against a coffee glass. It would be the Muslim profession of faith: "There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet."


"I saw the gunman, said one witness. It was pretty big. He was nearing fifty. He wore a shirt and a black jacket. It was very quiet. He was pacing.

The US consulate and the Sydney Opera House, located in the neighborhood were evacuated.


Shortly before the announcement of the hostage, the police reported the arrest of a 25 year old man in Sydney, as part of an investigation into the preparation of attacks.
