The ceremonies of remembrance of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp by the Red Army were launched on Monday in Berlin. One million one hundred thousand people, for the essential Jewish, were exterminated by the Nazis.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke to denounce the persistence of anti-Semitism.

The main ceremonies will take place on Tuesday the Auschwitz-Birkenau site presence, including three hundred survivors of the Nazi death camp.
