UN peacekeeper killed in southern Lebanon

A soldier of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was killed Wednesday in the south, where clashes are taking place right now between Hezbollah and Israel.


According to the Spanish news agency EFE, who holds the diplomatic sources, the victim is Spanish.


UNIFIL has not confirmed the identity of the soldier killed nor explained the circumstances of his death.


This morning, an Israeli military vehicle was hit by an anti-tank missile, injuring several people in an area on the border of Syria and Lebanon (the Shebaa Farms).
