Fighting in eastern Ukraine have grown in intensity in recent days. A report said five soldiers and six civilians killed in the past 24 hours. The clashes are concentrated particularly around the city of Debaltseve controlled by Kiev. The wounded were transported to the hospital located forty kilometers from the front line.
'' Every day we see happen forty or fifty soldiers wounded, some seriously, says the military doctor. There are also ten calendar or more. '
Debaltseve is an important railway junction, located near the area controlled by pro-Russian separatists in their main strongholds of Donetsk and Luhansk. The Ukrainian army did everything to defend this strategic city, but the pressure is becoming stronger. The rebels launched an assault on the city of Vuhlehirsk, ten kilometers to the west, and the last bastion before Debaltseve.
