Argentina: President dissolves the intelligence services

Argentine President announced a major reform of the intelligence services. Services which it denounces the role in the death of the prosecutor Alberto Nisman. Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner spoke on Monday for the first time since the beginning of this case before the cameras.

"I decided that this service was to be dissolved and a federal intelligence agency should be created. It will be headed by a director general and deputy director for the Senate must approve. "

The Nisman attorney was found dead nine days ago in his apartment in Buenos Aires, a few hours before being heard by Parliament. He accused Argentine President obstructing the benefit of Iran in the investigation of the bombing of the AMIA Jewish Mutual in 1994.

Many Argentines and the opposition accuse the government of being behind the death.

The first elements of the investigation suggest that the prosecutor committed suicide with a gun, but the absence of gunshot residue on the hands of Nisman gave food for thought to those who believe in a murder.
