The reopening of the Bardo Museum postponed for security reasons


The National Museum of Tunis, scene of a bloody attack last Wednesday, will not reopen its gates to the public as scheduled this afternoon.


An official ceremony will take place, with a concert and a tribute to the victims, but only a few individuals and the media to attend.


The attack Bardo, who killed twenty foreign tourists, has shaken Tunisian security services, widely blamed for serious failures. Six police commanders were dismissed by the Prime Minister yesterday.


Rallies against terrorism are nevertheless provided outside the museum on Tuesday, and the inaugural running of the World Social Forum (WSF), the great anti-globalization event held in Tunis until Sunday, so scroll to the Bardo.
