In Ukraine, intense fighting is taking place in Debaltseve, a strategic town because it is located on the road between Donetsk and Luhansk, stronghold of the rebels.
Several sources indicate that the pro-Russian separatists are gaining ground, inflicting heavy losses on the Ukrainian army. Kiev has acknowledged the death of 15 soldiers in 24 hours. Thousands of Ukrainian military are being encircled in this city.
Heavy fighting also take place a few miles away in Vougleguirsk.
The area is without water and electricity. Unknown number of civilian casualties.
Furthermore, bombings were reported in Donetsk in the night from Friday to Saturday. At least one person was killed.
Faced with such violence, the daily population is on site every day a little more precarious. Food aid is thus distributed to the people in need.
The conflict in eastern Ukraine has already more than 5000 deaths in 9 months.
