The battle for control of oil terminals and a power plant raged this week in eastern Libya. Officials said at least 22 soldiers were killed by Islamist militia yesterday in the area where the forces of government recognized by the international community oppose the government linked to Dawn Group of Libya, close to the Islamists.
This group fired several rockets at the terminals of Al Sedra and Ras Lanuf. A tank caught fire.
Meanwhile, the militia fought a bloody surprise attack against the military to oversee a power plant west of Sirte.
Libya has gradually plunged into chaos after the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
