Deadly collision between two vessels in the North Adriatic


Two people were killed and four were missing after the sinking of a merchant ship flying the Turkish flag off the Italian port of Ravenna according to the mayor of the city.


The four men were among eleven people on board this ship and another, flying the flag of Belize, which have faced, in a storm, about two kilometers from the coast.


This accident occurred while the peninsula involved in a wide rescue operation to rescue hundreds of passengers on a ferry victim of a fire in the Strait of Otranto, between Greece and Italy.
