Prime Minister Victor Ponta social democrat is given great favorite of the Romanian presidential election.
This former prosecutor 42 years credit is 41% of the vote so far without much revealed his plans for Romania, especially putting forward his economic record.
Its closest competitor is the Conservative candidate Klaus Iohannis. The mayor of the city of Sibiu, it comes from the German minority in Romania.
According to recent polls Klaus Iohannis could get up to 30% of the vote, far ahead of 13 other candidates for this election the second round is scheduled on November 16.
The campaign took place in a climate of corruption scandals and fears takeover of justice by the government.
