The US "will not give in to threats" after the attack on its ambassador in South Korea

Mark Lippert, the US ambassador in Seoul was injured with a knife.

The alleged attack, a militant nationalist opposition to the military alliance between his country and the United States was immediately arrested. His motives remain unclear.

While the South Korean president has denounced a "terrorist attack against the US-Korean alliance," North Korea has described the attack as "just punishment for US warmongering with the holding of joint military exercises between the United US and South Korea, "according to the official news agency KCNA. A reaction that has angered South Korean nationalists who burned pictures of the dictator in Pyongyang, Kim Jong-Un.

Mark Lippert was successfully operated two deep gashes on his cheek and right hand which earned him 80 stitches. He confirmed on Twitter that he was better.
