Arrest of suspected jihadists in Ceuta


Madrid announced the dismantling of a radical Islamist cell on Tuesday in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in Morocco. Two suspected jihadists were arrested in the morning. One is Spanish, the other Moroccan. They "were following the instructions of the Daech terrorist organization" Islamic State group, according to the Spanish authorities.


According to the Spanish Interior Minister, they were "radicalized and indoctrinated as to be fully prepared to carry out an attack."


The arrest of two suspected jihadists follows the arrest in January of four other people in the same jihadist cell, "said Madrid.


Since last September, Spain has arrested two dozen suspected Islamist militants.
