Attack Bardo: an Algerian Islamist leader killed by the Tunisian security forces


Khaled Chaib, also called Lokman Abu Sakhr, the Algerian Islamist leader accused of organizing much of the attack against the Bardo Museum was shot by the Tunisian security forces.


A total of nine jihadist brigade Okba Ibn Nafaa, the Tunisian branch of AQIM (Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb), were killed in a raid in Gafsa near the Algerian border.


"We eliminated the brigade participated in all the terrorist attacks that recently hit Tunisia" to said Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid.


This is an important success for Tunisia in its fight against the jihadist movement. For besides the deadly attack Bardo - attack also claimed by the Islamic State Group - Brigade Okba Ibn Nafaa is responsible, according to authorities, the death of sixty police and military since December 2012.
