After Burma Solar Impulse 2 lands in China


Mission accomplished for Solar Impulse 2. The plane that flies on solar power, landed Tuesday at dawn in China, Choqging the airport after a flight of more than 20 hours from Burma.


Led by the Swiss Bertrand Picard, the aircraft landed safely at the airport in this populous city like Canada, and will stay a few days because of bad weather. He will then leave for Nanjing further north.


This flight Burma / China has been very challenging due to extreme temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius in the cockpit and fly Chinese mountainous provinces like Sichuan.


Around the World Solar Impulse 2 is a 25-day flight over five months.

Objective: To promote the use of renewable energy, particularly solar energy.
