Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe is now head of the African Union, to the chagrin of his detractors. Accused of numerous violations of human rights, in power since the independence of his country in 1980, the leader of 90 years was appointed to the presidency of the pan-African organization on Friday at a summit in Ethiopia.
