Greece: a new government against nature, but already at work

the new Greek government team was sworn in on Tuesday. Only eight members of Alexis Tsipras government were sworn on the Bible, the rest of the firm having made only civil way, as the Prime Minister yesterday.

The Government member on which all eyes are now on is Yanis Varoufakis, outspoken critic of austerity policies and advocate a drastic reduction or cancellation of Greek debt.

He said that negotiations with the country's creditors had already begun.

Yanis Varoufakis:

"Doing business is a serious game and we'll bargain hard with our partners. And deliberate. The real challenge is to minimize the social cost that is not necessary, and throughout Europe. "

Questions remain as to the homogeneity of the radical left coalition government and sovereignist party. The leader of the "Independent Greeks" does not intend to sign blank checks.

Panos Kammenos:

"We will not say" yes "to all political SYRIZA, but only those on which we agreed. We will support the government on the issues we have planned together. "

In Athens, our correspondent Stamatis Giannisis:

"Most members of the new cabinet have little or no government experience, but in these difficult times it is in the emergency they will have to meet the challenges ahead."
