In the aftermath of the collision between two helicopters that killed ten people, including eight French in Argentina, several bodies began to be removed from the site of the tragedy.
The crash occurred Monday at 17h local time on the set of TF1 reality show in Rioja province in western countries.
The tragedy mourned the sports world including the death of the famous sailor Florence Arthaud, the only woman to have won the legendary Route du Rhum. Swimmer Camille Muffat, gold crown, silver and bronze at the London Olympics in 2012 was also killed in the accident. She was 25. Another loss, that of Olympic bronze medalist boxer Alexis Vastine in Beijing. The French president expressed his "astonishment" and his "emotion". He welcomed three champions "who wanted to push the boundaries."
The five other French victims were all part of the show's production team, Dropped, an adventure game from Sweden and expected to be released next summer. The other two victims were Argentine pilot helicopters.
The French sports minister referred to a pilot error.
